Transfers

What is the transfer deadline, why does it sometimes change, when do I get my player?

The transfer deadline is the time by which you need to have made your bid.  The last person that has made a bid by the deadline has the player. The deadline will be extended if bidding is made very close to the deadline.  This stops bidders from placing a bid dead on the transfer deadline. Once you have won a bid, the player will join your team 24-25 hours after the deadline.  At the same time your player starts, funds will be taken out of your team and transferred to the team that sold the player.   Also note that the player can play for his original team right up to the point he is transferred (ie 24 hours after the deadline).

No-one bought my player and he is still on my list of players for transfer

If no-one bided for your player, he will return to your club 24 hours after the transfer period. You cannot put him back on sale or sack him until he returns to your club.

I am using playing monitoring to check a player I want to bid on but it isnt updating

The player monitoring page does seem to update very frequently.  The best way to get the latest update is to get the players ID from the player monitoring page and then goto the transfer section and do a search using the player ID.

I sold a player but didn’t get all the money from the deal

This is because you have been taxed on the profits. Players you bought into the team are always subject to tax when you sell them again.  The amount of tax is dependent on how long you have kept the player.  The tax ranges from 95% to 20%.

The longer you keep the player less the tax is on the profits. The very worse is if you sell player within 5 weeks of having bought him.  You will be taxed at 95% of the profits.  The least you will be taxed is 20%.  Players that started with your club will be taxed at 20% of the profit between player value and sold price..  If you make a loss, ie sell him for less than you bought him, you will not be taxed.

Example: If you buy a player for £20,000 and one week later you sell him for £30,000, you would have made £10,000 profit. Unfortunately because it was within the 5 weeks, you will be taxed at 95% on that profit leaving you a gain of £500.  So although you sold him for £30,000, you will only get £20,500 from the sell..

The manual covers other aspects of doing  transfers so please read.

What does the Exclamation mark (!) on a player in the transfer market mean ?

It means that the player is under surveillance because his team is suspected of cheating.

Some players on the transfer market are in a foreign currency and I cant work out how much they are worth

Put your mouse cursor over the value of the player and leave it there for a few seconds.  A price will eventually pop up that shows the value of the player in your currency.

Example below shows that a 78k Euro player is worth £53k
